Banff Norquay Ski & Summer Resort spans vast, natural terrain, much of which is natural, uneven, and ungroomed. All year long, but especially during the fall, winter, and spring seasons, large areas of our facilities—including parking lots, sidewalks, pathways, and stairs, and other areas—can be covered with ice and snow, creating very slippery conditions.
Footwear matters
Footwear plays an important role in reducing the risk of slips, trips and falls. Your footwear should be appropriate for the season, weather conditions and activity. Many types of footwear do not provide good traction, and extra caution should be used when visiting a ski area.
